Based in Banff, Canada, Paul Zizka is an award-winning landscape and adventure photographer, mountaineer, and Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society.

Paul’s images have been featured in highly regarded publications, including National Geographic, Outside Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Alpinist, Maclean’s, Canadian Geographic, and Islands. His client list includes leading national and global brands such as Canon, Apple, NHL, Arc’Teryx, Westjet, lululemon, Panasonic, Ffern, and MEC.

Paul is the creator of eight books, including the award-winning Canadian Rockies: Rediscovered. Paul’s limited edition prints hang in personal collections around the world and are available for purchase on his print shop.

Hundreds of students join him each year for learning opportunities, whether it’s through Substack or on workshops that take students through photographic processes in the classroom and unforgettable experiences in the field.

His goal is for every photographer to find joy in their craft, expand the boundaries of their potential, keep creativity and exploration at the forefront, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural environment.

Cryophilia is Paul’s personal, multi-year mission to document vanishing ice around the world.
